Dr. David Wilson has completed over 5,000 microsurgical vasectomy reversals. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1984, completed a 3 year Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Center, and completed a 5 year General Surgery Residency at the Yale affiliated program of St. Mary’s Hospital in Connecticut.
He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and also by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is licensed to practice by the State of Oklahoma and the State of Rhode Island.
Dr. Wilson’s interest in vasectomy reversal began in 2000 at the time of his own personal reversal. Dr. Wilson began his full time reversal practice in October of 2005, and has performed over 5,000 microscopic reversals. These patients have traveled from all 50 states and 4 of the 7 continents. This corresponds to a 83% pregnancy rate for this subgroup in the practice. Ninety-one percent of the semen analyses from the patients three to six years from vasectomy show return of live sperm. My husband and I went to see Dr Wilson in November of 2014. I was amazed at how skilled he is. He has performed over 5,000 vasectomy reversals. I was able to go in with my husband and hold his hand the entire time. Dr Wilson was extremely nice. He does talk really fast which is a little strange, but it’s obvious that he is the best! We wouldn’t be able to afford to get it done anywhere close to home. So we flew from Montana to Oklahoma. It was well worth it. We became pregnant in August 2015 🙂
